Charlton Rovers AFC
Welcome to Charlton Rovers AFC.
Charlton Rovers AFC was founded in 1976 to promote football for children in the Charlton Kings area of Cheltenham.
The junior section provides organised coaching for children aged 6 and 7, and league football for ages 8 to 15.
In addition, the club has three senior teams playing in the Cheltenham Association Football League.

2.09.2010 Saturday Academy returns on Saturday 11h September
The Saturday Academy returns to Balcarras astroturf from 9.30 - 10.30am on Saturday 11th September. All players are reminded to bring along shin pads, appropriate footwear and a drink. read more
22.05.2010 - Under 9's win the Lakeside 2010 tournament
On a glorious summers day te under 9's put in a hot performance to win the Lakeside 2010 tournament. Playing some fantastic football the boys won 5 out of 6 matches, scoring 15 goals and conceding 1. Elliot Bancroft was awarded the u9 player of the tournament by the officials.
12.05.2010 - Dex's Mid Morning Cloggers retained the Dad's 6-a-side tournament
The Saturday Club dad's won the final of the dad's 6-a-side tournament, beating the Third team in a penalty shoot out following a goal less final.
27.02.2010 - ROVERS SENIORS TURN OVER RIVALS Charlton Rovers first team took on local rivals Falcons at Balcarass on Saturday 27 Feb and came out
victorious again. Rovers won the match 2 - 0 thanks to goals from Mike McCarthy and captain Mark Herbert
in the comfortable encounter. After touting themselves as the best team in The Village, Falcons
regretted the statement, with Rovers hardly broke sweat as they out-played, out-fought
and out-scored their opponents. "Taking 6 points off them was GREAT" manager Tom Price said and "it is
now clear to all who is the better team in The Village."

Extra mini soccer sessions2 extra mini soccer sessions will take place this year to compensate for the bank holiday and some of the boys missing sessions due to tournaments. The last session will now be on Saturday 12th June.
Saturday 8th May - MINI SOCCER RETURNS Once again the club will be running mini soccer throughout May for school years 2,3,4 and 5.
The sessions will be on Saturday morning and Wednesday evenings. Sessions start on Saturday 8th
May 2010 at 10 am and continue for 9 sessions. The Wednesday sessions will start at 6.30pm. The first and
last sessions will be 1.5 hours with all subsequent sessions being 1 hour.
